Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-08-29
Keepers is a macOS app that picks the best photos from a folder you choose. It is built to keep your photos private.
Your photos never leave your Mac
All photo analysis — sharpness, faces, framing, exposure, everything — runs entirely on your Mac using Apple's on-device frameworks. Keepers never uploads, transmits, or stores your photos, filenames, folder names, or camera metadata anywhere. There are no accounts and no cloud.
Analysis results are cached locally on your Mac (in the app's own sandbox container) so re-opening a folder is instant. Deleting the app deletes this cache.
Anonymous usage statistics (optional)
To understand which features matter, Keepers can send anonymous, content-free usage counts (for example "an analysis finished" with a photo-count range) to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service.
- These events never contain photo content, filenames, paths, or metadata.
- The install identifier is a random ID hashed on your device; it cannot be traced back to you.
- You can turn this off any time in Settings → General.
Crash and hang reports (system-collected, content-free counts only) travel the same pipeline and respect the same toggle.
Feedback (optional)
If you use the feedback form, the message you type (and your email, only if you choose to give it) is sent to us so we can read it and reply. Nothing else is attached beyond the app version.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. Keepers only sees Apple's confirmation that the unlock was bought — no payment details.

Questions: use the in-app feedback form (Settings → Feedback).
We will update this policy if data practices ever change, and the app's listing will say so.
